Low EMC qualification rate of LED lighting products
Release time: 2018-04-14Views: 693

The 2014 LED lighting products supervision and spot check quality analysis report released by Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of quality and Technical Supervision recently shows that there are many quality problems in products on sale. A total of 103 batches were randomly selected in this supervision and random inspection, of which 53 batches were randomly selected in the production field, and 47 batches were qualified, with a pass rate of 88.7%. There are 50 batches of product quality risk monitoring on the market, and 15 batches are qualified, with a qualifica🐽tion rate of 30%.

Low qualification ♏rate of electromagnetic 🎀compatibility

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) refers to the ability of equipment or system to meet the requirements in its electromagnetic environment and not produce unbearable electromagnetic interference to any equipment in its environment. Among the 103 batches of LED lighting productꦕs sampled this time, 62 batches of electromagnetic compatibility projects were qualified, and the qualification rate was only 60.2%. It is 9.2 percentage points lower than that of self ballasted fluorescent lamps (energy-saving lamps) for general lighting, while incandescent lamps do not have electromagnetic compatibility problems. Therefore, the EMC performance of LED lightin⭕g products needs to be further improved. Among them, 55 batches of LED lighting products from Jiangsu real estate (5 batches are sampled in the market), 48 batches of EMC projects are qualified and 7 batches are unqualified, with a pass rate of 87%. The city purchased 48 batches of LED lighting products produced in other provinces and cities, 14 batches of electromagnetic compatibility projects were qualified, 34 batches were unqualified, and the qualification rate was 29%.

Unqualified electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) may cause the distribution system or other electronic and electrical products connected to the system to fail to work normally, such as unclear TV 🍎images🌃, noise of audio equipment, etc. Under special circumstances, such as batch installation of unqualified electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) products, electrical equipment will overheat, produce vibration and noise, aging insulation, shortening service life, and even failure or burning.

5. Category 1 blue light hazard in the product

Under certain conditions, the blue light component in the LED spectrum for lighting will cause damage to the human optic nerve. Gb/t 20145-2006 “photobiosafety of lamps and lamp systems” divides the hazard level into 4 categories, with category 0 as no hazard, category 1 as low hazard, category 2 as medium hazard and Category 3 as high hazard. The classification basis is determined by the total exposure, exposure distance, angle and other factors. Generally speaking, for category 1 hazards of LED blue light, the general use distance is more than 1.5 meters, or non long-term use (generally less than 2-3 hours) is not harmful to people. In this led supervision and spot check, five batches of products were found to have category 1 blue light hazards.
